Dear Naijaauthor, Introduce yourself, who are you?
I am Happiness Ajayi, a graduate of Biochemistry. A lover of a God and passionate about him. I am also a content creator on YouTube, content writer, copywriter and a social media manager. You can say that I am friendly and don’t like trouble. I love to read books especially Christian fiction, watch movies, write and talk.
What genre of books have you written? Or how many books have you written?
Majorly, I write fiction (Christian). I have written two books to the glory of God. (Will I ever be free?) and (The Adventure).
To you what is the best book you’ve written so far?
I have written two books and they are both spectacular. It’s hard to choose.
What’s the best book your audience has read so far?
The audience should decide that, I think. Both books have been having great comments from people.
What is the most complex book you’ve authored so far?
Will I ever be free?
Janet’s dilemma started at 13 when she became her father’s mistress. It seemed the whole world was against her when her little secret was opened. Yes! A child for her father.
In the midst of the run, suicidal thoughts, kidnap, heartbreak and a lot more, would she find an answer to the question of her heart which was; “Will I ever be free?”
Describe your journey as a writer in a few sentences.
It has been sweet and challenging at the same time. Sweet in the aspect of writing and pouring out my imaginations. Lack of adequate time, laptop and the like are what made it challenging. I wrote my two books using a mobile phone.
What role does self-publishing have in your writing career?
I might not have been able to become an author if not for self-publishing. The cost of publishing would have made me still have my books as a manuscript.
What problems did you experience while writing?
I don’t think I encounter problems while writing. Writing flows for me and I bless God for that.
What is your advice to aspiring writers?
My advice is that they should not be intimidated. They should also not make money the focus from the beginning or else, they would give up on writing. They should also write what they will look back to in years and not have regret.
